The ThermoFisher Scientific NanoDrop 2000 Spectrophotometer is a popular tool used in life science research for measuring the concentration and purity of nucleic acids (like DNA and RNA) and proteins. It only requires a tiny sample size (as low as 0.5 microliters) and can measure samples without dilution, which saves time and precious materials. The NanoDrop 2000 uses light to analyze the sample and provides a fast and easy way to get results. While a newer model, the NanoDrop One, is now available, the NanoDrop 2000 is still a reliable option for many labs.
