Description
The Model 72 was a line-operated, routine-use version of the Model 76 Expanded Scale pH Meter.
A chemist from the California citrus industry asked Arnold Beckman to create his first pH meter in 1934 because he needed a precise way to determine how acidic his product was. The resulting instrument sparked a rapid expansion of the electronic scientific instrument industry as well as Beckman Instruments, Inc.
