Description
The ACO 2124A Pistonphone is a device used to calibrate sound level meters. It acts as a standard sound source, emitting a very specific tone. This tone is a pure sine wave at a frequency of 250 Hertz and a sound pressure level of 124 decibels. By using the Pistonphone, technicians can ensure their sound level meters are reading sound pressure levels accurately. The ACO 2124A is compatible with microphones of various sizes, including 1-inch, ½-inch, and ¼-inch condenser microphones.
