Description
The Thermo Scientific DCT7088 was a well-regarded portable flow meter used for measuring liquid flow rate. Discontinued by Thermo Fisher, it was known for its durability and ease of use. It utilized clamp-on transducers for non-invasive installation, meaning it could be attached to pipes without interrupting flow. This meter was particularly useful for clean liquids but could also handle fluids with some gas bubbles or solids. It offered high accuracy, bi-directional flow measurement, and a built-in data logger.
Specifications:
- Measurement Range: Indicates the range of flow rates the meter can accurately measure.
- Accuracy: Specifies the degree of precision in measuring flow rates, usually in percentage error.
- Display: Describes the type of display used, such as digital LCD or LED.
- Units of Measurement: Lists the units in which flow rates can be displayed (e.g., liters per minute, cubic feet per hour).
- Communication Interface: Specifies the type of communication protocol supported, such as RS-485 or Modbus.
- Power Supply: Indicates the power source required for operation, such as battery-powered or AC adapter.
- Operating Temperature Range: Specifies the temperature range within which the meter can function effectively.
- Pressure Rating: Indicates the maximum pressure the meter can withstand without damage.
- Material of Construction: Describes the materials used in the construction of the meter, such as stainless steel or plastic.
- Mounting Options: Specifies the available mounting options, such as wall-mount or panel-mount.
- Dimensions: Provides the physical dimensions of the meter, including height, width, and depth.
- Weight: Indicates the weight of the meter, which can be important for transportation and installation purposes.
